Chosen Briefs

1. A promotion package for the release of an album, to include a music promo video, together with two of the following three options:
 – a website homepage for the band;
 – a cover for its release on DVD;
 – a magazine advertisement for the DVD

2. A promotion package for a new film, to include a teaser trailer, together with two of the following three options:
 – a website homepage for the film;
 – a film magazine front cover, featuring the film;
 – a poster for the film

7. An extract from a new documentary TV programme, lasting approximately five minutes, together with two of the following three options:
 – a radio trailer for the documentary;
 – a double-page spread from a listings magazine focused on the documentary;
 – a newspaper advertisement for the documentary

10. A short film in its entirety, lasting approximately five minutes, which may be live action or animated or a combination of both, together with two of the following three options:
 – a poster for the film;
 – a radio trailer for the film;
 – a film magazine review page featuring the film

  
1. I think this brief would be interesting because it involves creativity where I would have to listen to some music and come up with what I picture from a song. This means it is challenging as I would have to use sound and video and match the visuals to the audio.

2. This brief would also be interesting because I would have to come up with an idea for a film and then cut it down enough as to not give away the plot but also get people wanting to watch. I would also have to come up with a theme for the advertisement for example I could include a colour scheme.

7. This would be a good brief to do as it would be challenging. This is because I would have to come up with an idea which is possible to film with the resources available and carry it out. It would involve a lot of filming of real life occurences meaning I would have to get it right the first time.

10. This brief would be great because there is a lot of freedom for creativity and I would be able to come up with my own idea with no boundaries. It would also be challenging because it is a whole story so must keep the audience gripped and the advertisement would need to get people wanting to see it.
