A directors commentary will be best for this question as I will be able to show what I am talking about. I will also be able to make it clear what forms and conventions I used, developed or challenged in my piece as the person watching will be able to see it happening as I talk about it. This is good because even if someone watched the piece before, they might not understand which part I'm trying to describe or might not remember a small piece of information, such as a single camera shot, I'm discussing. Pausing the piece will also give me time to go into detail about a certain thing and will also make it possible for me to highlight a certain part about what I'm showing on screen. For example, if I pause on one camera shot, I can talk about just something happening in the bottom corner, such as a character.
In this scene I could say about the forms and conventions of a chase scene.
In this scene I could focus on the character in the background who is taking photos.
A directors commentary will therefore be perfect for this question as I can focus on every small thing that I have done in my piece to do with forms and conventions.
